Overview

Gray and ductile iron castings deliver the strength, wear resistance, and vibration damping that hydraulic, construction, and material handling equipment depends on.

CMT supplies iron castings from green sand, air set, and shell mold foundries in our global network, and from Hycast Foundry in Fairfield, Iowa, a domestic gray and ductile iron foundry CMT partners in, for programs that need a U.S. source.

We specialize in highly cored castings such as hydraulic valve bodies and manifolds, along with brackets, housings, steering knuckles, and structural components up to 1200 kg. Steel and stainless steel parts are produced by investment casting for components that need fine detail and corrosion resistance. Every program includes design for manufacturing review, pouring simulation, heat treatment to CQI-9, and inspection in our U.S. and China quality labs, with machined and finished parts stocked in Cincinnati for just-in-time delivery.
